2016/2017 Ski Season: New Lifts, Skis and Technology In The Three Valleys
The Three Valleys will be opening soon, autumn has finally turned the leaves brown and after a warm October, you can now focus your attention to skiing holidays. The Three Valleys is continuing its impressive modernisation and White Storm Ski Rental has the equipment for you to enjoy the world’s largest ski area.
Three Valleys’ New Ski Lifts
Val Thorens have installed two new chairlifts for the 2016/2017 ski season, helping you to navigate the 600km’s of piste on offer.
Stades has a has a new high speed six person chair lift serving racers to their start gate, it comes as a welcome change to the original drag lift.
Boismint is now a six person chairlift, upgraded from the preexisting four person high speed lift. It can now carry a huge three thousand people per hour allowing even better access out of the bottom of VT to red runs Haute Combe and Boismint.
WiFi in Courchevel
Courchevel has no new lifts this year but WiFi will be available at some lift stations. Vizelle and Signal will have an internet connection so you can upload a snowy selfie during the day.
Speaking of selfies, there are also six dedicated ‘Three Valleys Selfie Spots’ being installed. Systems will be in place at these locations where you can connect and control cameras from your smart phone for the perfect shot. Col de la Loze and the top of Signal chairlift will have this impressive technology on offer for Courchevel.

The most sought after freeride ski has been updated this season. The Soul 7 remains a versatile off piste ski with the added bonus of carbon alloy which provides noticeably more edge grip, stability and energy. The lightweight powder rocker combined with decent sidecut gives a perfect balance for backcountry and on piste skiing.
Faction’s new line up will be a favourite for the playful all mountain skier, added carbon in the centre of the ski reinforces the stability for confident landings and edge hold.
